Update on whats happening with the bands.
For those of you who are curious about what is happening with Danger Radio and The Scene Aesthetic I will give you a little update.
First of all:Danger Radio did not break up.
The Scene Aesthetic did not break up.
The new Scene Aesthetic record is right now in the process of being mixed and will be released later this year there are no plans of touring yet.
Danger Radio is writing right now for our new record and we are mixing our bsides EP which will hopefully be released in the next few months.
I think most people that you ask who play music will tell you that its not as easy as anyone thinks it is. Some times its a little easier for some than others, in which case its more like winning the lottery than anything else. That has not really been the case for Danger Radio. I have been playing with the same people for a very long time. Nico and I have been playing together since the 7th grade. That is still ridiculous to me. Of course when we started playing I never thought that I would take it seriously. It has come to a point now where we have had about 6 months off and it was time to re-evaluate our lives.
I think it was a good and bad thing that we took the majority of this last year off. I think we all needed a rest. We toured so much the last few years and we love our fans so much but its a little exhausting and a tab bit discouraging to tour as much as we did and not see much progress with sales and such.
We just had a conference call and talked about whether or not it would be wise to continue and after all we’ve been through we decided that we are going to give it another really really strong go. I promise you that you will start seeing a lot more stuff coming from our end. There is a lot more music to be made, lots of videos and pictures and I just hope that when we start to put everything out there that you’re all still there to help us out because we would honestly be nothing without the fans we have made.
2010 is going to be a really good year I think. I can’t wait to see all your beautiful faces again.
Love,
Senor Andrew
